Deadpo o l  is such a clas sic. That movie is by far one of the funniest films I have ever  watched,  and Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of the main  character  is epic. Every scene is filled with his dry, sarcastic comments that just keep everyone laughing until their stomach hurts. Each theory of humor can be seen throughout the  entirety  of the movie, but there is one scene  in particular that  I want to focus on. In this scene Deadpool is trying to fight off Colossus, a huge metal guy that is extremely strong. Every time Deadpool goes to punch him, his hand breaks so he then resorts to kicking him. Which of course breaks his foot. Colossus is  undefeatable  and ends up putting Deadpool in handcuffs. Deadpool decides to cut his hand off to get out of the handcuffs since he can heal very  quickly,  and Colossus is left with a  sawed-off  hand that is flicking him off. This scene is very funny because Deadpool contin...

The Good Place  is  anothe r series that I have never seen, let alone heard of, which kind of surprises me because there  are  some very  well-known   actress  in the comedy show. After watching a  few  famous clips from the show, I can very  clearly  see why Abi chose to write about The Good Place . It has very funny scenes filled with the incongruous and relief theory, as well as the superiority theory. One scene  in particular that  I would like to point out that is  prevalent  with the theories is a scene with Eleanor, the ring leader of the  other humans. In this scene she is talking to  Jason Mendoza, one of main characters in the series. In the clip, Jason asks if  Eleanor  would like to see his bud hole; however, because he has an accent, it sounds like he is asking her if she wants to see his butthole. He continues to explain that that it is very messy furthering her thinking that he ...

Just like Kaitlin, I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Christmas season, and if I am being  honest,  I have already been listening to Christmas music and wearing Christmas socks. Christmas is by far my favorite holiday, and I end up celebrating it two or three months in advance. One movie that is always on my watchlist and is  essential  when it comes to this time of the year is the movie  Elf , so I was very excited to see that  Kaitlin  chose to write about it. Every scene is filled with humorous accounts of Buddy and his life as an elf. If you are six years old or even seventy-five, it will make you laugh without a doubt, as well as fall in love with the main character Buddy. There  are  so many scenes that stick out in my mind  that  are filled with each comedy theory that we have discussed in class, and the ones  Kaitlin  mentions about Buddy screaming “Santa” in the store and the burping scene are great examp...

When I first realized  Nikoleta  was writing about vine, I got very excited.  Nikoleta’s  description of how Vine got popular after it was cancelled is the exact  experience  I had with it. I never had an account and never really heard of or watched any Vines while it was around; however, the minute Vine died, I felt like I heard about it everywhere. Because of the new craze surrounding Vine after it was gone, I had to see what all the hype was about. I began to  see  videos all over my Twitter feed, Instagram feed, and on the internet. It was like I could not escape it, but I enjoyed every video I came across. They were so hilarious and extremely relatable; I did not understand why I just now found interest in Vine, but I guess I am just like every other person and do not catch interest in something until everyone is talking about it.  One video that I found especially funny that  Nikolata  pointed out was “The First Time Some...

Ok I  admit, I have never in my life have heard of the movie “The Big Lebowski” before  despite the fact that  it has played such a significant role in society. However, after reading Zach’s post I am very intrigued and interested to watch it. I think that this film was so impactful on society because of the  attitude  of the main character,  Jeffery . Because he lives life in more of a relaxed,  lackadaisical  kind of way, he becomes a character that everyone not only relates to, but also strives to be like. People get so easily worked up and stressed out about everything that life throws at them. Its everyone’s  natural  instinct  to try and think so far ahead and plan out every scenario before it occurs, but that is just not reality. No matter how prepared someone tries to be, things  change;  life is  unpredictable,  so it is just an unreachable goal to try and plan everything out. Instead, people should tr...
